About this card
Ruby Tuesday opened in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1972 and built its name on the Garden Bar — the salad bar that outlasted every food trend thrown at it — alongside handcrafted burgers, ribs and grill plates. It is also, honestly, a much smaller chain than it once was: from more than 800 restaurants at its 2008 peak, through a Chapter 11 filing in October 2020 that closed sites in bulk, to around 170 restaurants on its own locator today, concentrated in the Southeast, the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast.
That makes one step non-optional here in a way it is not for a chain with a restaurant in every mall: look up the locator on rubytuesday.com and confirm there is a Ruby Tuesday the recipient can actually reach before you pay. The count keeps moving. When there is one nearby, the card is a good one — the brand's own terms say cards are issued by RT FL Gift Cards, Inc., do not expire and are not subject to inactivity fees, so the value sits there indefinitely.
Two constraints bite at the till. Redemption is limited to Ruby Tuesday branded restaurants in the continental USA — narrower than "the United States", since Alaska and Hawaii fall outside it. And the eGift card has no mobile redemption: print it and hand the paper to the cashier rather than holding up a phone screen. Orders placed inside DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub are billed by the app and cannot use it either.
Buying it here needs no Ruby Tuesday account, no card on file and no identity check. You give us a delivery email, pay in the coin you already hold, and the claim code arrives in about eleven minutes once the payment confirms on chain. Worth knowing: the brand will not replace a lost, stolen or damaged card, so print it once, keep the printout somewhere sensible, and keep the original email as your record.
What you get
- A claim code, delivered by email
- A private order page (14-day access)
- Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
- No Ruby Tuesday login or ID required
