About this card
Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft's flagship gaming subscription: a rotating catalogue of roughly 400 games across console, PC, and cloud, plus day-one launches of Microsoft's own first-party titles — Forza Motorsport, Halo Infinite, Starfield, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, and every Bethesda, Activision, and Blizzard release that lands on the service. Microsoft restructured Game Pass in 2023, retiring Xbox Live Gold in favour of Game Pass Core, and revised the Standard and Ultimate tiers in 2024. The four current tiers cover online multiplayer at the entry level all the way through the flagship console + PC + cloud + EA Play bundle.
The tier breakdown buyers gift months of: Game Pass Core (~$9.99/mo) — online multiplayer on Xbox plus a curated ~25-game library; Game Pass Standard (~$14.99/mo) — the full ~400-title console catalogue without day-one Microsoft launches; Game Pass Ultimate (~$19.99/mo) — the flagship: console + PC + cloud streaming + day-one Microsoft titles + EA Play, the most-purchased tier; and PC Game Pass (~$11.99/mo) — the PC catalogue plus EA Play on PC, no console access. A single Xbox digital code from this page funds whichever tier the recipient runs — Microsoft's wallet system applies the balance to the next subscription renewal at the active rate.
Xbox digital codes are strictly region-locked to the country setting on the Microsoft account. A US card only redeems on a Microsoft account with country = United States, a UK card only on a UK-set account, a Japan card only on a JP-set account, and so on for the 7 stores we sell. Microsoft enforces this at redemption time with a "this code can't be used in your region" refusal, and the country setting on a Microsoft account is heavily restricted afterwards — typically one change per several months, requiring a matching billing address and payment method in the new country. Pick the variant matching where the recipient already runs their Microsoft / Xbox account; codes are not cross-region redeemable, and we cannot recover credit redeemed on a mismatched account.
Once redeemed, the face value flows through to the Microsoft Account Wallet as a general-purpose Microsoft Store balance. From the next billing cycle onward, Microsoft draws each Game Pass renewal from the wallet first; once exhausted, billing automatically resumes on the saved payment method, or pauses cleanly if no card is on file. The same wallet covers full game purchases, DLC, in-game currency, and Microsoft Store movies and TV — it is not limited to Game Pass. Paying for the subscription in crypto keeps the recurring "MICROSOFT*XBOX" line off shared bank statements, lets you pre-load 6-12 months of Game Pass without a card expiry interruption, and is the most reliable route in markets where local cards or PayPal silently reject Microsoft direct billing. We collect an email once for code delivery — no Xbox account, no Microsoft login, no profile on our side.
What you get
- A claim code, delivered by email
- A private order page (14-day access)
- Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
- No Xbox Game Pass login or ID required
How to redeem
Same flow on every Xbox Game Pass store — only the URL changes per region.
- Open
microsoft.com/redeemin any browser, or on an Xbox console go to Store → press the menu button → Redeem, or in the Microsoft Store app on Windows go to your profile → Redeem code. - Sign in to the Microsoft account whose country setting matches the card region (US card → US-set account, etc.).
- Paste the 25-character code from the delivery email.
- The face value is credited to the Microsoft Account Wallet in the local currency.
- From the next billing cycle, Microsoft draws each Game Pass renewal (Core / Standard / Ultimate / PC) from the wallet until depleted, then resumes on the saved payment method. The same balance also covers Microsoft Store games, DLC, and in-game currency.
No need to cancel an active Game Pass subscription before redeeming — the wallet simply takes over the next bill.
Region terms
Specific to United States
- Region-locked. The card must match the country setting on the recipient's Microsoft account. We cannot recover or transfer credit redeemed on a mismatched account.
- No expiry on the unredeemed code in the United States (federal CARD Act); 24-month-or-longer floor in the EU and UK by statute; Japan and other markets follow their local minimums. In practice Microsoft does not push a hard expiry on the code.
- No expiry on the redeemed wallet balance — it sits on the Microsoft account indefinitely and is consumed by the next subscription renewal or any Microsoft Store purchase.
- Refunds: if the code fails, we re-issue or refund the full amount in your original coin within 14 days. Once successfully redeemed, the wallet balance cannot be withdrawn back to crypto.
- Wallet balance applies to any tier the account runs (Game Pass Core / Standard / Ultimate / PC) at its current rate, and to general Microsoft Store purchases (games, DLC, in-game currency, movies and TV). Not redeemable on Xbox hardware or third-party storefronts (Steam, Epic, GOG).
- Bearer code — anyone who enters the 25-character code on the matching-region account applies the balance.
- Stacks with other Xbox / Microsoft gift cards on the same account, as long as every code matches the account country.
- Microsoft Services Agreement applies to redemption and ongoing use of the wallet balance.

Refund policy if the code does not work
0/O and 1/I, so re-check letter-by-letter before raising a refund. Mismatched country (e.g. a US card on a UK-set account) is not a code defect and is not eligible for refund once Microsoft has accepted the redemption attempt.
