About this card
World of Warcraft has been a subscription game since 2004 and still is: without active game time the account drops to the Starter Edition, which caps progress at level 20. The subscription is the single thing that gates play, and it is unusually generous about what it covers — one active subscription opens modern retail WoW and every Classic flavour Blizzard runs, from Classic Era and Hardcore through Season of Discovery to the current Classic progression realms, on the same Battle.net account and with no second bill.
Redeeming the code puts its value on the Battle.net account that entered it, and from there it does one job: it pays for game time from the account page. Blizzard sells that time in 30-day and 60-day blocks, so the larger amounts here simply cover several blocks in a row. Time applied to the account runs on the calendar and does not pause when you stop logging in, and additional blocks are appended to the end of the current period rather than replacing it.
The distinction that trips people up is game time against retail expansion. A subscription includes the base game and every expansion except the newest one; the current expansion is a separate box purchase and no amount of game time will unlock it. Character services — realm transfers, faction and race changes, name changes — are also bought separately from the shop rather than covered by the subscription.
Buying it here needs no Blizzard login, no card on file and no identity check: we take a delivery email, you pay in the coin you already hold, and the code arrives in about eleven minutes. The one thing to check first is the account region. Blizzard runs Americas, Europe, Korea and Taiwan as separate account regions with their own realms and their own money, nothing moves between them, and this variant is the Americas one.
