About this card

A Shark Cash Card is prepaid GTA$ — the money that pays for everything in GTA Online that is worth owning. Properties first: an apartment to start heists from, then the nightclub, the agency, the arcade, the bunker and the auto shop that turn into passive income. Then the garage — the Oppressor Mk II, the Deluxo, armoured Kurumas and whatever Legendary Motorsport is dripping that week — plus weapons, upgrades and the business supplies that keep a sale running. The credit lands in the character's Maze Bank balance and spends like any other GTA$.

Shark Cards come in fixed tiers, not free amounts, and only the top two clear our $50 floor. $49.99 is the Whale Shark: GTA$3,500,000. $99.99 is the Megalodon: GTA$8,000,000. Below them sit the Red, Tiger, Bull and Great White cards at GTA$100,000 to GTA$1,250,000, which are real products but too small to sell here. Because the tiers are steps, picking a value between the two listed faces buys no extra GTA$ — take one of the two.

The lock that catches people is the platform, not the country. This card activates on a Rockstar Games account and credits the PC character. Console players buy Shark Cards inside the PlayStation or Microsoft store instead, and GTA$ has never crossed between platforms — Rockstar's character transfer service shut in 2017 and there was never a PC-to-console route to begin with. If the person playing is on a PS5 or an Xbox, this is the wrong card.

The other reason people buy a card rather than take a shortcut: Rockstar strips money it judges to have been generated by cheats or money-drop lobbies, and hands out bans with it. Purchased GTA$ is the version of the balance that survives. Buying it here needs no Rockstar login, no card on file and no identity check — a delivery email, a payment in the coin you hold, and the code arrives in about eleven minutes.

Asked & answered

Specifics for GTA Online cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

How much GTA$ does each face value give me?

Exactly two tiers are on sale here, because Shark Cards are fixed steps rather than free amounts. $49.99 is the Whale Shark — GTA$3,500,000. $99.99 is the Megalodon Shark — GTA$8,000,000. The smaller Red, Tiger, Bull and Great White cards run from GTA$100,000 to GTA$1,250,000 but sit below our $50 floor.

Will this work on my PlayStation or Xbox?

No. This code activates on a Rockstar Games account and credits the PC character. Console Shark Cards are bought inside the PlayStation or Microsoft store as store items, and GTA$ has never moved between platforms — Rockstar closed character transfers in 2017 and never offered a PC-to-console route at all.

What is GTA$ actually good for?

Everything in Los Santos with a price tag: apartments and penthouses to launch heists from, the nightclub, agency, arcade, bunker and auto shop that generate passive income, vehicles from Legendary Motorsport and Warstock including the Oppressor Mk II and the Deluxo, weapons, Los Santos Customs upgrades, and the supplies that keep a business selling.

Can I pick an amount between the two tiers?

You can type one, but there is no point — Shark Cards are stepped products. Paying $70 does not produce GTA$5,000,000; it buys the tier at or below it. Choose the Whale Shark at $49.99 for GTA$3,500,000 or the Megalodon at $99.99 for GTA$8,000,000, and treat anything in between as money that buys nothing extra.

Can I give the GTA$ to a friend or my second character?

No. GTA$ is credited to the character balance on the account that activated the code, and Rockstar provides no way to transfer money between players or between accounts. Gifting is done at the card stage instead: put the recipient's address in the delivery field at checkout and they activate the code on their own Rockstar account.

Is the money safe, or can Rockstar take it back?

Purchased GTA$ stays. What Rockstar removes — along with issuing bans — is money it judges to have come from cheats, exploits or money-drop lobbies, which is precisely why players who have been burned by a "free millions" lobby end up buying a Shark Card instead. A card leaves a clean purchase record on the account.

Do I need GTA V itself, or is GTA Online separate?

You need GTA Online running on the PC account you activate against — the code credits a character that already exists, it does not grant the game. Launch GTA Online at least once and create your character before redeeming, so the GTA$ has a Maze Bank balance to land in when you next join a session.

Which coins can I pay with, and is there a minimum?

Eight — Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Solana, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Litecoin and TRON. The floor on gift cards is $50 USD-equivalent, which is why only the Whale Shark and Megalodon tiers are listed. No account with us, no KYC and no identity document at any point.
