About this card

The Cheesecake Factory began as Evelyn Overton's bakery in 1972 and became a restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1978. There are now around 220 restaurants, and the format has never been trimmed: a menu of roughly 250 dishes that runs from avocado egg rolls to pasta, steak, flatbread and Sunday brunch, and a counter of more than thirty cheesecakes at the end of it. Portions are the reason a $100 card here is a real dinner for a family rather than a gesture.

The card is store credit against that bill. The Cheesecake Factory states it is redeemable at its US and Puerto Rico restaurants for dine-in and for pickup orders placed online or by phone, and that gift cards do not expire. Balances stack, so several codes can settle one large table, and anything over the balance goes on a payment card in the usual way. One detail specific to digital cards: eGift codes cannot be reloaded — only plastic cards can be topped up, and only in a restaurant.

Buying it here needs no account with the restaurant, no card on file and no identity check. You give us a delivery email, pay in the coin you already hold, and the claim code arrives in about eleven minutes. That works as a way to fund a meal for someone in the United States from anywhere, which the brand's own gift-card checkout is not built to do.

Now the part most buyers get wrong, so read it before you pay. The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated also owns North Italia, Flower Child and Grand Lux Cafe, and it is widely assumed the card crosses to them. It does not: the company states its US gift cards are not redeemable at its other brands, and North Italia sells its own separate card. The same sentence rules out third-party delivery and pickup apps such as DoorDash, Cheesecake Factory desserts sold in supermarkets, and cheesecake ordered from Harry & David. Canada is a separate programme too — plastic only, redeemable only at the Toronto restaurant, and not interchangeable in either direction.

What you get

  • A claim code, delivered by email
  • A private order page (14-day access)
  • Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
  • No The Cheesecake Factory login or ID required

Asked & answered

Specifics for The Cheesecake Factory cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

Can I use it at North Italia, Flower Child or Grand Lux Cafe?

No — this is the one people get wrong. The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated owns those restaurants, but its published terms say US gift cards are "not redeemable outside of the United States (except the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico) or at our other brands". North Italia sells its own separate card; so does Grand Lux Cafe.

Does it work on DoorDash or Uber Eats?

No. The restaurant states that gift cards "may NOT be used for pickup or delivery orders facilitated by 3rd parties", naming DoorDash directly. Order pickup on thecheesecakefactory.com or by phone, or pay at the table, and the balance applies without trouble.

Is it valid in Puerto Rico?

Yes. Puerto Rico is the one place outside the fifty states where a US Cheesecake Factory gift card is explicitly good — the terms cover "our U.S. and Puerto Rico restaurants". Everything further afield, including the Toronto restaurant and the international licensees, is out of scope.

Can I buy the supermarket cheesecakes with it?

No. The Cheesecake Factory desserts sold through grocery and retail chains are a separate licensed product line, and the terms exclude them by name — along with cheesecake ordered through Harry & David. The card buys food in a Cheesecake Factory restaurant, including whole cheesecakes bought at the counter there.

Does the balance expire, and can I reload the code?

Gift cards do not expire, so a card bought today holds its value indefinitely. Reloading is the one asymmetry: physical cards can be topped up by visiting a restaurant, but eGift cards cannot be reloaded at all — buy a second code instead when the first runs down.

Can several cards pay for one big table?

Yes, and it is the normal way large groups use them. Balances stack, so multiple codes can be applied against a single bill, with any shortfall settled on a payment card. Given the portion sizes and a menu of about 250 dishes, a $250 or $500 card is a realistic celebration budget rather than an overshoot.

Does the recipient need an account or the app?

No account is required. For dine-in they simply display the eGift card on a phone or hand over a printed copy when the bill comes. An account is only useful for online pickup ordering, where the card is entered as a payment method at checkout — and creating one takes an email and a password.

Which coins can I pay with, and how fast does the code arrive?

Eight — Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Solana, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Litecoin and TRON. The code is emailed once your payment confirms on chain, about eleven minutes on median. No account with us, no KYC and no identity document; the smallest card here is $50.
