About this card

Bob Evans began as a sausage business in 1948 and opened its first dining room at the family farm in Rio Grande, Ohio in 1962. Today the chain runs about 420 restaurants across 18 states, concentrated in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, and it trades on breakfast served all day: sausage gravy over hand-cut biscuits, farmhouse skillets, hotcakes, and on the dinner side pot roast, turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes and banana bread. Golden Gate Capital sold the business to 4x4 Capital in February 2026.

The card is broader than most restaurant credit. Bob Evans redeems it for food, beverage, merchandise and gratuity — so it covers the tip as well as the meal, and the retail shelf of pies, breads and sausage sold at the front of the restaurant. It works for dine-in and carryout, including the Family Meals To-Go that feed four to six people, and at the online ordering checkout. The balance is drawn down over as many visits as it takes and does not expire.

Buying it here needs no restaurant account, no card on file and no identity check. You hand us a delivery email, pay in whichever of the eight coins you already hold, and the code lands in about eleven minutes — which is the workable route if you are outside the US and buying for a household inside it.

The mistake to avoid: Bob Evans Restaurants and Bob Evans Farms are two different companies. The sausage rolls, mashed potatoes and side dishes in the supermarket chiller belong to Bob Evans Farms, owned by Post Holdings since 2018; this card is restaurant credit and does nothing at a grocery till. And an order placed inside DoorDash or Uber Eats is paid to that app, not to the restaurant — spend the balance at the table, at the carryout counter or through Bob Evans' own online ordering.

What you get

  • A claim code, delivered by email
  • A private order page (14-day access)
  • Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
  • No Bob Evans login or ID required

Asked & answered

Specifics for Bob Evans cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

Does it cover the tip?

Yes, and that is genuinely unusual. Bob Evans redeems its gift cards for food, beverage, merchandise and gratuity, so a table-service meal can be settled end to end from the card without anyone digging for cash for the server. Most restaurant cards stop at the food line and leave the tip to you.

Can I use it on Bob Evans sausage at the supermarket?

No — and this catches people out. Bob Evans Restaurants and Bob Evans Farms are separate companies: the packaged sausage, mashed potatoes and side dishes in the grocery chiller are sold by Bob Evans Farms, owned by Post Holdings. This card is restaurant credit. The pies, breads and sausage sold at the front counter of a restaurant are fair game.

Does it work in DoorDash or Uber Eats?

No. An order placed inside DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub is a purchase from the delivery app, and those apps take only their own stored payment methods. To spend the balance on food you do not eat in the dining room, use carryout or the restaurant's own online ordering, both of which accept the card.

Can I use it for a Family Meal To-Go?

Yes. Family Meals To-Go — the trays of fried chicken, pot roast or turkey with sides that feed four to six — are ordered as carryout and settle against the gift-card balance like any other check. A $100 card typically covers a family meal plus a whole pie, which is the point of buying the larger denominations.

Where are the restaurants, and how many are there?

About 420 restaurants across 18 states, weighted to the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic — Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia and their neighbours. The estate has shrunk from 522 units in 2017, so check the recipient still has one nearby before buying: this is a regional chain, not a coast-to-coast one.

Does the balance expire?

No. Bob Evans gift-card balances do not expire and carry no dormancy, service or inactivity fee. US gift-card funds are separately protected by the Credit CARD Act of 2009, which sets a five-year federal floor and restricts inactivity charges — a card bought today buys the same breakfast in five years.

How fast does the code arrive, and can I send it to someone else?

The code is emailed once your payment confirms on chain, about eleven minutes on median. Type the recipient's address into the delivery field at checkout and it goes straight to them — the code is never shown on the payment page, so it stays between the two of you.

Which coins can I pay with, and is there a minimum?

Eight — Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Solana, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Litecoin and TRON. The floor on gift cards is $50 USD-equivalent, so the smallest Bob Evans card here is $50. No account, no KYC and no identity document at any point.
