About this card

Regal is the second-largest cinema circuit in the United States, running more than 400 theatres and several thousand screens under the crown. The premium formats sit inside that estate rather than beside it: RPX, IMAX, the motion-and-scent seats of 4DX, the peripheral-wall projection of ScreenX. A gift card is money at the Regal till, so it buys the ordinary Tuesday matinee and the format that costs twice as much on exactly the same terms.

What separates it from a ticketing-platform card is the concession stand. Regal balance is accepted for food and drink as well as for seats, in the theatre and online, which matters because the snack counter is usually the larger half of the bill. The balance is drawn down across visits rather than consumed in one transaction, and it stacks: several codes can live on the same Regal Crown Club account, with any shortfall settled by another payment method at checkout.

Buying it here needs no Regal account, no card on file and no identity check. You give us a delivery email, pay in the coin you already hold, and the claim code lands in about eleven minutes once the payment confirms on chain. Regal sells its own gift cards only against US payment rails; this route removes that requirement from the purchase and leaves it only where it belongs, at the theatre.

Two constraints to know before paying. The self-service ticketing kiosks in the lobby do not take gift cards — go to a staffed box office, the concession counter, regmovies.com or the app instead. And Regal Unlimited, the monthly subscription, renews against a payment card on file, so treat this as ticket-and-snack money rather than a way to fund a subscription.

What you get

  • A claim code, delivered by email
  • A private order page (14-day access)

Asked & answered

Specifics for Regal cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

Does it pay for popcorn, or only for tickets?

Both. Regal accepts gift-card balance at the concession stand exactly as it does at the box office, so food and drink come out of the same money as the seats. That is worth knowing when sizing the card: at most locations a family's snack run costs more than the tickets did, and a $100 card comfortably absorbs the whole evening.

Why was my card refused at the ticket machine in the lobby?

Because Regal's self-service ticketing kiosks do not accept gift cards — they are built for bank cards and mobile wallets only. It is the one genuine hole in the card's coverage. Use the staffed box office, the concession counter, regmovies.com or the Regal app and the same code works without argument.

Can I use it for RPX, IMAX, 4DX or ScreenX showings?

Yes. Premium-format surcharges are part of the ticket price at the Regal till, not a separate payment, so gift-card balance covers them like any other seat. A $50 card is roughly two adult IMAX or 4DX tickets in a large market, or three to four standard evening tickets outside the big cities.

Does it work in the Regal app and with a Crown Club account?

Yes. Add the card at checkout on regmovies.com or in the app, and the balance is available on the account for later bookings. Regal Crown Club points still accrue on the purchase — paying with a gift card does not disqualify the transaction from the loyalty programme the way some third-party ticket routes do.

Can it pay for a Regal Unlimited subscription?

Treat it as a no. Regal Unlimited is a recurring subscription that renews against a payment card kept on file, which a gift card cannot supply month after month. The sensible use of this balance is tickets and concessions on a pay-as-you-go basis — which for most people is the cheaper arrangement below about two films a month anyway.

Does the balance expire or shrink if I forget about it?

No. Regal gift-card balances carry no expiry date and no service, dormancy or inactivity fee, well inside the five-year federal floor set by the US Credit CARD Act. Several codes can also be pooled on one account, so a card bought last winter simply adds to whatever is already sitting there.

How fast does the code arrive, and can I send it to someone else?

The claim code is emailed once your payment confirms on chain, about eleven minutes on median. Type the recipient's address into the delivery field at checkout and it goes straight to them — the code is never shown on the payment page, so nothing needs to be forwarded and nothing is left in your own inbox.

Which coins can I pay with, and is there a minimum?

Eight — Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Solana, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Litecoin and TRON. The catalogue floor is $50 USD-equivalent, so the smallest Regal card here is $50. No account, no KYC and no identity document at any stage; we ask only for the email that should receive the code.
