How does Magic Backup work — is it different from a regular seed phrase?

Magic Backup is Foundation's name for an encrypted backup of your seed written to a microSD card, locked by a 6-word "backup password" that lives separately on a stainless-steel plate. To restore you need the SD and the 6 words — neither alone reveals the seed. It coexists with traditional 12/24-word BIP39 backup; Foundation ships steel plates for both. The point is that you can stash the SD card with your bank / your in-laws / anywhere physically secure and the words separately, and a single compromise doesn't move funds.
