About this card

An Apple gift card is the cleanest way to put money on an Apple Account without attaching a bank card to it. The balance covers everything Apple bills through the account: apps and games, in-app purchases, Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Fitness+, films, books and audiobooks, and Apple One bundles — and in most markets hardware on apple.com too. Apple spends the balance first, before any card on file, which makes it a genuine substitute for a payment method rather than a top-up.

These cards are strictly country-locked. Apple's own support wording is that you cannot redeem a card "outside of the country or region of purchase": a French card will not redeem on the US App Store, and vice versa. The card's country has to match the country set on the Apple Account. Every variant chip above shows the store it belongs to — pick the one matching the account you actually use.

Getting that wrong is more annoying than with most brands, so it is worth stating plainly: Apple will not let an account change its country while it holds a balance, and it also requires every active subscription to be cancelled before the switch. A wrong-region code therefore strands the account rather than just wasting the code. Choose the store first, the denomination second.

You will never share an Apple Account login, a passport or any government ID with us. An email address is the only thing we need to deliver the code. Balance does not expire in the great majority of markets and Apple levies no dormancy or service fee on it.

What you get

  • A claim code, delivered by email
  • A private order page (14-day access)
  • Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
  • No Apple App Store & iTunes login or ID required

How to redeem

Same flow on every Apple App Store & iTunes store — only the URL changes per region.

  1. Open the App Store app and tap your profile photo (top right).
  2. Choose Redeem Gift Card or Code.
  3. Enter the code from your delivery email (or use the camera).
  4. The balance lands on your Apple Account and is spent before any card on file.

On a Mac: App Store → your name in the sidebar → Redeem Gift Card. On the web: apps.apple.com/redeem. The Apple Account country must match the card's country.

Universal terms
  • Country-locked. A card cannot be redeemed outside its country or region of purchase, and the Apple Account country must match.
  • Currency: each country's card is denominated in that country's currency.
  • Covers: apps, in-app purchases, Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV+, Arcade, Fitness+, films, books, Apple One — and hardware in most regions.
  • Validity: Apple Account balance does not expire in most markets; no dormancy or service fees.
  • Apple blocks an account country change while a balance remains and while subscriptions are active.
  • Our cover: if the code fails at redemption, open your order page within 14 days — we re-issue or refund in your original coin.

Asked & answered

Specifics for Apple App Store & iTunes cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

Can I redeem a US Apple card on a European Apple Account?

No. Apple gift cards are strictly country-locked — Apple's own wording is that you cannot redeem a card "outside of the country or region of purchase". A card bought for France redeems only on a French Apple Account; a US card only on a US one. The country on the card must match the country set on the Apple Account. Pick the variant matching the account you actually use, not the country you happen to be sitting in.

What happens if I redeem the wrong country's card?

Two things, and the second is the painful one. First, the code simply will not redeem. Second — if you try to fix it by switching your Apple Account's country, Apple blocks the change while the account holds any balance, and it also requires you to cancel every active subscription (Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV+, Arcade, any App Store auto-renewal) first. A stranded balance is genuinely hard to unwind, which is why we surface the store domain on every variant chip.

How do I redeem the code?

Fastest route: open the App Store app → tap your profile photo top-right → Redeem Gift Card or Code → enter the code. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name in the sidebar, then Redeem Gift Card. On the web: apps.apple.com/redeem. The balance lands on your Apple Account and is spent automatically before any card on file.

What can the balance actually buy?

Everything Apple bills through the Apple Account: apps and games, in-app purchases, Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, films and TV rentals or purchases, books and audiobooks, and Apple One bundles. In most countries the same balance also works toward hardware and accessories on apple.com and in Apple Stores.

Does the balance expire?

Apple Account balance does not expire in the great majority of markets, and Apple charges no dormancy or service fee on it. Local consumer law sets the outer limit in a few jurisdictions. Once redeemed, the value simply sits on the account until spent.

Is this the same as an Apple Store hardware card?

Apple merged its two cards into a single Apple Gift Card in most regions, so one code covers both App Store content and hardware. Where Apple still issues the older App Store & iTunes-only card, the balance is limited to digital content. The redemption flow and the country lock are identical either way.

Can I use it to pay for an Apple One or Apple Music subscription?

Yes. Once the balance is on the account, Apple draws subscription renewals from it before charging your card on file. This is the most common reason people buy these with crypto — it funds a recurring Apple subscription without ever putting a bank card on the account.

Why buy an Apple card with crypto?

Because it keeps a payment card off your Apple Account entirely. No bank link, no KYC with us, no account to create — you give us an email address, we send the code. It is also the practical way to fund an Apple Account in a country whose App Store rejects your local card type.
