About this card

Finish Line, founded in Indianapolis in 1976, is a US sneaker retailer built on the running and basketball walls: Nike, Jordan, adidas, New Balance, Hoka, Brooks, ASICS and Puma, plus the apparel and the socks nobody plans to buy and everybody does. The card is store credit on that catalogue at finishline.com and in Finish Line-operated stores.

Where those stores are has changed, and it is worth being straight about it. JD Sports bought Finish Line in 2018 and has since re-bannered much of the standalone mall estate under its own JD Sports name — and a JD Sports store will not accept a Finish Line gift card. What remains reliably Finish Line is the website and the several hundred Finish Line shops that run the athletic footwear floor inside Macy's, a partnership going back to 2012. Look at the fascia over the door before you plan a trip around this card; online, the question never comes up.

The balance itself is straightforward, with one hard rule worth knowing: online, a maximum of three e-gift cards can be applied to a single order. Within that, value part-spends and the remainder stays on the card, a shortfall goes to a second payment method, and the balance carries no expiry or dormancy fee under the US terms. Launch and limited-release pairs check out through the same cart as everything else, so a balance is a usable way to be ready for a drop.

Buying it here needs no Finish Line account, no card on file and no identity check — a delivery email, the coin you already hold, and the code lands in about eleven minutes. That is also the practical way to put a US sneaker balance in someone's hands from outside the country, since finishline.com wants a US payment method at its own checkout.

What you get

  • A claim code, delivered by email
  • A private order page (14-day access)
  • Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
  • No Finish Line login or ID required

Asked & answered

Specifics for Finish Line cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

Who runs Finish Line now, and is the card still good?

JD Sports Fashion bought Finish Line in 2018 and still trades the banner in the US. The card is issued and honoured under that ownership at finishline.com and in Finish Line-operated stores. What changed is the store map, not the credit: the website is the constant, the physical estate is smaller and more Macy's-shaped than it was.

Can I spend it in a JD Sports store?

No. JD Sports and Finish Line run separate gift-card programmes even under one owner, so a Finish Line code is refused at a JD till — including in the many former Finish Line mall units that now trade under the JD fascia. If in doubt, use it online, where the question does not arise.

Does it work at the Finish Line shop inside Macy's?

Yes. Finish Line operates the athletic footwear floor in Macy's stores, and those shops take Finish Line gift cards for sneaker purchases. It works the other way round too rarely — a Macy's gift card is a different instrument, so do not expect this one to pay for a Macy's handbag two aisles over.

How many gift cards can I use on one order?

Three per online order, which is Finish Line's stated ceiling on e-gift card redemption. If you are buying a bigger balance for a specific pair, take a larger single denomination instead of stacking four small ones — otherwise the fourth code has to wait for a second order.

Can I use it on a launch or limited-release pair?

Yes — launch products go through the same cart and the same payment step, so gift-card balance pays for them like any other order. The reservation or draw itself is a separate step run before checkout, and winning it is still down to luck; having the balance already sitting there just removes one delay at the payment screen.

Does the balance expire, and what happens to the change?

No expiry. Under the US terms the balance carries no expiry date and no service, dormancy or inactivity fee. Spend less than the card holds and the remainder stays on it for the next visit; spend more and the difference is charged to whatever second payment method you use at checkout.

How fast does the code arrive, and can I send it to someone else?

It is emailed once your payment confirms on chain — about eleven minutes on median. Type the recipient's address into the delivery field at checkout and the code goes straight to them; it is never displayed on the payment page, so nothing has to be forwarded afterwards.

Which coins can I pay with, and is there a minimum?

Eight — Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Solana, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Litecoin and TRON. The catalogue floor is $50 USD-equivalent, so the smallest Finish Line card here is $50; a $200 card is closer to what a current Jordan retro actually costs. No account, no KYC, no identity document.
