About this card
Bloomingdale's opened on the Lower East Side in 1861 and has been at Lexington and 59th since 1886, which is where the Big Brown Bag — Massimo Vignelli, 1973 — turned a carrier bag into the most recognisable object in American retail. Today it is about thirty full-line stores, a handful of small-format Bloomie's, around twenty Bloomingdale's The Outlet locations and bloomingdales.com, selling contemporary and luxury designers, a beauty hall of counter brands, shoes, handbags, furniture and home.
The card is store credit against all of it, and because it is tender rather than a coupon it does something Bloomingdale's own promotions cannot: it spends on the luxury and beauty houses that are routinely carved out of savings passes and Loyallist bonus events. A card is simply how the bill is paid, so no brand exclusion list applies to it. The balance carries over between visits, never expires and takes no service, dormancy or inactivity fee.
Buying it with coin needs no Bloomingdale's account, no card on file and no identity check. You give us a delivery email, pay in whatever you already hold, and the claim code arrives in about eleven minutes once the payment confirms on chain — which also means someone outside the United States can put credit into a US store without a US payment method.
Two things to settle before you pay. First, this card and a Macy's card are not interchangeable: the two chains sit under the same parent but run separate nameplates and separate gift-card systems, and each register refuses the other's card. Second, for an in-store purchase you must print the eGift card — Bloomingdale's tills do not scan a code off a phone screen, though the website takes it typed in without any trouble.
What you get
- A claim code, delivered by email
- A private order page (14-day access)
- Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
- No Bloomingdale's login or ID required
