About this card

Crunchyroll is the anime service the industry itself routes through — more than 2,000 series and films, subtitled episodes going up within hours of the Japanese broadcast, a growing dub slate, and the old Funimation library folded in after the two merged. Since 31 December 2025 there is no free ad-supported tier: the service is entirely paid, which makes prepaid membership value considerably more useful than it was a year ago.

Three tiers share the same catalogue and differ on everything around it. Fan is $9.99 a month — ad-free, every simulcast, and offline downloads on one device. Mega Fan at $13.99 adds four concurrent streams, the Game Vault of included mobile games, and a recurring $10 off any $75 order at the Crunchyroll Store every three months. Ultimate Fan at $17.99 pushes to six streams, 15% off the Store, and a physical Swag Bag after twelve consecutive months. Those prices took effect on 2 February 2026 for new members and 4 March for existing ones.

The two cards on this page behave differently, so pick deliberately. The US card is credit: the whole face value posts to the account and is eaten at whatever the member's tier costs, which is about five months of Fan for $50 or ten for $100. The French card is a term: EUR 69.99 switches on twelve consecutive months of Premium Fan and nothing else — no tier choice, no leftover balance, and no payment card required to start it.

The constraint that actually bites is billing route. If the membership is charged through Apple, Google Play or Roku, that subscription belongs to the platform and a Crunchyroll code cannot touch it — redeem anyway and you end up holding a second, separate membership while the first keeps billing. Cancel the platform subscription, let it lapse, then redeem. On a membership Crunchyroll bills directly, redeemed value simply stacks and the next charge is prorated.

What you get

  • A claim code, delivered by email

Asked & answered

Specifics for Crunchyroll cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.

Which membership tier does the US card pay for?

Any of them. The value is credit, not a tier, so it covers Fan at $9.99 a month, Mega Fan at $13.99 or Ultimate Fan at $17.99 — it just runs out sooner on the expensive ones. A $100 card is roughly ten months of Fan, seven of Mega Fan or five and a half of Ultimate Fan.

What exactly does the French card give me?

Twelve consecutive months of Premium Fan — the single-stream, ad-free, downloads-on-one-device tier. It is a fixed term, not a wallet: there is no balance left over, no way to spend it on Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan, and no payment card needed to switch it on. Order two codes and the second starts when the first ends.

I pay Crunchyroll through Apple, Google Play or Roku. Can I use this?

Not against that subscription. The platform owns the billing relationship, so the code cannot be applied to it — and if you redeem anyway, Crunchyroll opens a second, separate membership while the platform keeps charging you. Cancel there first, let the paid period lapse, then redeem the code on crunchyroll.com.

Does the credit or the code expire?

Crunchyroll states its gift cards do not expire, and value already credited to an account simply waits there until a membership charge eats it. That is not universal in streaming — some services in this catalogue require activation within twelve months of purchase — so it is worth knowing which kind you are holding.

Is there still a free tier if the balance runs out?

No. Crunchyroll shut down its free ad-supported streaming on 31 December 2025 and is now a fully paid service, so when credit runs out the account loses access rather than dropping back to an ad-supported view. That is the main practical reason to top up before the balance empties.

Can I spend it in the Crunchyroll Store, or on the Game Vault?

No to the Store. Crunchyroll runs a separate gift card for its merchandise store, and membership value will not check out a figure or a manga order. The Game Vault needs no extra spend at all — it is bundled into Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan, so paying for one of those tiers with this card includes it.

How fast does the code arrive, and can I send it to someone else?

The claim code is emailed once your payment confirms on chain, which takes about eleven minutes on median. Type the recipient's address into the delivery field at checkout and it goes straight to them — the code is never shown on the payment page, so it stays between the two of you.

Which coins can I pay with, and is there a minimum?

Eight — Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Solana, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Litecoin and TRON. The floor on gift cards is $50 USD-equivalent, which is why the French one-month and three-month codes are not listed here and the ladder starts at the 12-month one. No account, no KYC and no identity document at any point.
