PCS is a French prepaid Mastercard rail operated by Edenred, sold across ~10,000 physical sales points in France (tabacs, PMU, supermarkets) and online. The Recharge code is the canonical way to reload a PCS Mastercard without going through a bank or a credit card — the model is "cash for your prepaid card", and the code only becomes spendable once you load it onto a PCS Mastercard you already own.

The use case is specific. PCS holders use Recharge to keep their card funded for everyday online and offline spend: e-commerce, subscriptions, ATMs, point-of-sale at any Mastercard-accepting merchant in France or abroad. Because the PCS Mastercard sits behind the funds, you get the full Mastercard acceptance footprint — far broader than any prepaid voucher's merchant network. The trade-off is that you need an active PCS card; if you don't already have one, get one at mypcs.com first, then return for the Recharge code.

Once you have the code, redemption is two clicks: sign in to "MyPCS" at mypcs.com (or open the PCS mobile app), go to "Recharger ma carte" / "Recharge", paste the 16-digit code, and confirm. How do I redeem the 16-digit code on my PCS Mastercard?

Two ways. (1) Sign in to your "MyPCS" account at mypcs.com, go to "Recharge" / "Recharger ma carte", and enter the 16-digit code from your delivery email. (2) In the PCS mobile app, open "Recharger" and either type the 16-digit code or scan the barcode (if shown). The funds appear on the linked PCS Mastercard balance instantly, subject to the per-card and per-period AML caps your card tier applies.

Is there a maximum per Recharge code?

Yes — French AML rules apply. PCS Recharge codes are typically denominated up to €250 per code for the anonymous PCS card tier ("PCS Liberté" / "PCS Optimum") and higher (up to €1,000+) for verified KYC tiers. Your card's monthly and annual loading caps depend on the card tier you hold — check your "MyPCS" dashboard. To load more, buy multiple Recharge codes and apply them sequentially up to your card's cap.

How long is the Recharge code valid?

PCS Recharge codes are typically valid 12 months from the date of issue per PCS T&Cs. We deliver fresh codes the moment your crypto payment confirms, so the full window starts then. After the code is loaded onto a PCS Mastercard, the funds follow the card's own balance and expiry rules — typically the residual balance accrues a small monthly fee after a long inactivity period per Edenred T&Cs at mypcs.com.

Can I spend the code at a merchant directly without loading it on a PCS card?

No. Unlike Cashlib, Transcash or Neosurf — where the voucher code itself is the payment at a merchant's checkout — PCS Recharge is strictly a top-up code for the PCS Mastercard. Once the funds sit on the card, you spend the card itself anywhere Mastercard is accepted (online merchants, ATMs, point-of-sale), subject to your card's usage rules.

What if I lose the code or my email is deleted?

The 16-digit code is the bearer instrument until loaded — anyone holding it can load the value onto their own PCS card. Your order page (link in your delivery email) stays accessible for the full 12-month window and the code is stored against your order number. If you lose the email, open the order page from your browser history or contact us with the order number. Once a code has been loaded onto a PCS card, it cannot be reissued — the funds are now on that card.

What if the code does not load?

Open your order page (link in your delivery email) within 14 days and we re-issue or refund in the original coin. Common failure modes: (a) transcription error if the code was hand-typed instead of pasted into MyPCS, (b) the linked PCS Mastercard is over its monthly/annual cap (your dashboard at mypcs.com tells you), (c) the card is suspended or expired — in that case, contact PCS support directly.
