Loyalty is not affected by paying this way. Ulta Beauty Rewards — the programme long known as Ultamate Rewards — awards points on the full purchase amount regardless of the tender that settles it, so a gift-card checkout climbs the points ladder exactly as a bank card would. The one thing that earns nothing is buying a gift card, which is Ulta's rule, not ours. Points cannot be used to buy gift cards either.

Buying it here needs no Ulta account, no card on file and no identity check — a delivery email, the coin you already hold, and the claim code lands in about eleven minutes. The constraint to know before you pay: this is a standalone-store card. It is not accepted at the Ulta Beauty at Target shop-in-shops or on Target.com, which run on Target's registers, nor on Ulta orders placed through a third-party delivery marketplace. It also cannot be used to buy another gift card.
