حول هذه البطاقة

REI is not a retailer with a loyalty scheme — it is a genuine consumer co-operative, founded in Seattle in 1938 and owned by its members, with more than 180 stores and an outdoor catalogue that runs from trail runners and rain shells to bikes, skis, climbing hardware and a house brand that competes with the names beside it on the shelf. A gift card is store credit against all of that, at the till, on rei.com and at REI Outlet.

Two things set this balance apart from an ordinary gear card. It spends at Re/Supply, REI's used-gear programme, where traded-in shells, tents, bikes and boots are resold at a fraction of retail — so the same $200 goes noticeably further than it would on new stock. And it can buy the $30 lifetime Co-op membership itself: one payment, no renewal, and from then on the member earns their annual Co-op rewards on eligible purchases, gets member pricing and can use the in-store services. REI even sells a card design aimed squarely at that use.

Buying it here needs no REI account, no card on file and no identity check. You give us a delivery email, pay in the coin you already hold, and the code arrives in about eleven minutes. The balance never expires and carries no fee, which suits a shop where the purchase is often seasonal — a card bought now is still full value when the snow arrives or the permit finally comes through.

Be honest with the recipient about the limits, because they are specific. REI's own gift-card terms exclude REI classes and REI Adventures / Intrepid travel trips — you cannot gift a mountaineering course this way — and gear rentals only accept a gift card when you pay in store, not online. Passes, tickets, return labels and other gift cards are excluded too. This is gear money, and it is very good gear money.

الأسئلة والأجوبة

تفاصيل خاصة ببطاقات REI Co-op. للأسئلة العامة حول الدفع بالعملات المشفرة، راجع الأسئلة الشائعة.

Can the balance pay for the REI Co-op membership?

Yes. The Co-op membership is a one-off $30 lifetime purchase — no renewals, no annual dues — and it can be settled with gift-card value at the till or on rei.com. REI markets a card design for exactly this. It is the cheapest useful thing on this list: membership unlocks member pricing, the annual Co-op rewards and the in-store services.

Does it work on used gear at Re/Supply?

Yes, and it is one of the best reasons to buy this card. Re/Supply is REI's resale programme for traded-in and returned kit — shells, tents, sleeping bags, bikes, boots — sold well under retail both in store and online. The gift card is named in REI's terms as valid there, so the same balance simply buys more gear than it would on new stock.

Can I use it for REI classes, Experiences or adventure trips?

No — this is the real limit of the card. REI's gift-card terms exclude REI classes outright, along with REI Exclusive and Recommended Intrepid travel trips. If the gift is meant to fund an avalanche course or a guided trek, a gift card will not do it. Buy this for gear, and book the experience separately with a normal payment method.

What about gear rentals?

Rentals are a partial yes. REI accepts a gift card for gear rental only when you pay in store — the online rental flow will not take it. So a card works for someone who walks into their local REI to pick up skis or a bear canister, but not for a rental reserved and paid for on rei.com in advance.

Does the balance expire, and are there fees?

No on both counts. REI gift-card balances do not expire and carry no service, dormancy or inactivity fee, so value bought today is intact for a trip next year. Several cards can be applied across purchases, and any shortfall on an order is settled with another payment method at checkout.

Do I have to be a member to spend it?

No. REI sells to anyone — membership buys member pricing and the annual Co-op rewards, not the right to shop. A non-member can walk in and spend the whole balance. If they do join, the $30 comes out of the same card, and from that point their eligible purchases start earning the member dividend that REI is known for.

How fast does the code arrive, and can I send it to someone else?

The card number and PIN are emailed once your payment confirms on chain, about eleven minutes on median. Put the recipient's address into the delivery field at checkout and it goes straight to them — the code is never shown on the payment page, so it stays between the two of you.

Which coins can I pay with, and is there a minimum?

Eight — Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Solana, USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Litecoin and TRON. The REI ladder here starts at $100 and runs to $500, with custom amounts up to $1,000. No account with us, no KYC and no identity document at any point; we take an email once, only to deliver the code.
