关于此卡
Peet's Coffee opened on 1 April 1966 at Vine and Walnut in Berkeley, California, when Alfred Peet — a Dutch roaster's son who thought American coffee was thin and stale — started roasting dark, in small batches, to order. He trained the men who went on to found Starbucks and sold them their beans for the first year, which is why Peet's is fairly described as the source of American speciality coffee rather than a competitor in it. Major Dickason's Blend, built in 1969 with a regular customer, is still the house standard; the estate today is a few hundred company-run coffeebars, heavily concentrated in California, plus a substantial mail-order business in whole bean, pods and cold brew.
The card loads into a Peet's account and the Peet's app, where it works as a stored balance you scan at the register or spend at checkout online. That covers the drink in the morning and the four bags of Major Dickason's that turn up in a box — peets.com takes the same balance for beans, K-Cup pods, cold brew and gear.
Now the constraint that decides whether this card is right for the person you are buying it for. Peet's runs two kinds of counter. The company coffeebars — the ones with the full menu and the Peetnik regulars — take the card. The licensed counters do not: a Peet's kiosk inside a supermarket, an airport terminal, a university campus, a hotel lobby or a hospital is operated by a licensee on its own point-of-sale system, with its own prices, and those tills are generally not connected to the Peet's stored-value platform. The brand hedges this in its own terms as "participating" locations, so the sensible rule is: if it is a standalone Peet's, buy with confidence; if it is a counter inside somebody else's building, ask before you queue. A bag of Peet's beans on a supermarket shelf is a different business again — that is a packaged-goods sale rung up by the grocer, and no Peet's card touches it.
Buying it here needs no Peet's account, no card on file and no identity check. You give us a delivery email, pay in the coin you already hold, and the code arrives in about eleven minutes. One practical note before you pay: a recurring peets.com coffee subscription bills a stored payment method on every cycle, so plan on spending the balance across one-off orders and in-store visits rather than trying to prepay a subscription with it. The balance never expires and carries no dormancy or inactivity fee.

常见问题与解答
Peet's Coffee 礼品卡专属说明。关于加密支付的通用问题,请参阅 常见问题.
Does it work at the Peet's inside a supermarket, an airport or a campus?
Can I add it to the Peet's app?
Can I buy beans and gear on peets.com with it — and what about a subscription?
peets.com, yes: whole bean, K-Cup pods, cold brew, gear and gift boxes all take the balance at checkout. A recurring coffee subscription is the awkward case, because Peet's has to bill something on every cycle and subscriptions expect a stored payment method that can be charged on schedule. The reliable plan is to spend the balance on one-off orders and let the subscription, if there is one, run on its own card.
