Bitsa is a Spanish prepaid Visa rail offering free virtual cards, low-fee physical Visa cards, in-app crypto onramps, and bill-pay/transfer features for EU residents. The Bitsa Code is the canonical way to reload a Bitsa balance without a bank transfer or another card — the model is "cash for your prepaid Visa", and the code only becomes spendable once you load it onto a Bitsa account you already own.

The use case is specific. Bitsa users use Recarga to keep their balance funded for everyday online and offline spend: e-commerce, subscriptions, ATMs, point-of-sale at any Visa-accepting merchant in Spain or abroad. Because the Bitsa Visa sits behind the funds, you get the full Visa acceptance footprint — far broader than any prepaid voucher's direct merchant network. The trade-off is that you need an active Bitsa account; Bitsa onboarding requires standard EU AML KYC and a Spanish or EU resident profile, which is a one-time step.

Once you have the code, redemption is two clicks: open the Bitsa app, go to "Recargar" → "Recarga con Código", paste the 16-digit code, and confirm. The EUR amount appears on your Bitsa balance instantly, subject to your account tier's monthly and annual loading caps. What if I lose the code or my email is deleted?

The 16-digit code is the bearer instrument until loaded — anyone holding it can load the value onto their own Bitsa account. Your order page (link in your delivery email) stays accessible for the full 12-month window and the code is stored against your order number. If you lose the email, open the order page from your browser history or contact us with the order number. Once a code has been loaded onto a Bitsa account, it cannot be reissued.

What if the code does not load?

Open your order page (link in your delivery email) within 14 days and we re-issue or refund in the original coin. Common failure modes: (a) transcription error if the code was hand-typed instead of pasted into the Bitsa app, (b) the linked Bitsa account is over its monthly/annual cap, (c) the account is suspended or under review by Bitsa — in that case, contact Bitsa support directly. We resolve genuine code failures.
